SERDESUR-43USB: No Picture

Part Number: SERDESUR-43USB

Tool/software:

Hi

I want to use the SERDES De-serializer Board to show the Data of an Automotive Camera. The Cam has a DS90UR241QVS. I connected if to the De-serializer Board and the Board to a Display (TFT070-84NN). But i am a little bit confused, in the User Manual of the Serdes Demonstration Kit (Page 17), i can't get Information about the Output Data. In the Application Report SNLA102B–May 2008–Revised April 2013 (Page 2), i found informations about the Data. Is this true? To show a Picture i need RGB Data, Clk, HSync and VSync?

How can i change the Clock? In my case there are only round about 15MHz. The Display needs 33MHz. With the Serializer Board it should be possible to change the Clock using the Resistor at Port 23 "PRE" but at the Cam it is not connected.

  • Hi Rico,

Yes. A display needs RGB data, Hsync, Vsync, and the Pixel clock to show a picture.

How can i change the Clock? In my case there are only round about 15MHz. The Display needs 33MHz

Do you already know the resolution of the camera? The camera decides the pixel clock not the SER or DES. If you want to see the data from the camera on a display, you will need a display that can accept the video resolution from the camera.

    Best,

    Jack
