DS25CP102: Suitable Component for ADS Simulation with IBIS Model

I am currently facing an issue when attempting to configure the ds25cp102.ibs file within the ADS simulation software.

Specifically, when I try to set it to IBIS_DIO, I receive the following error message:

　No pins associated with the 'IBIS_DIO' model type could be found for the component 'ds25cp102'.

　Please select a different component.

Could you please provide guidance on which component or specific settings should be selected to accurately simulate the ds25cp102.ibs model in ADS?

Additionally, if there are any known configurations or parameters that might need adjustment to resolve this issue, I would greatly appreciate your advice.

Dear Team,

I have an additional question.

I found this page:

In this page, the frequency response data is displayed as images.
Could you please provide me with the numerical data behind these frequency response curves?

If I could get the data from these curves, I might be able to extract the Nb of poles and freq values to create a mathematical model of the EQ stage.

Hi Diego,

Regarding the IBIS model issues, I think this is a case of just having the correct pin definitions that ADS is expecting. I'm not immediately familiar enough with IBIS to tell you exactly what needs to be changed, but I also see that SN65MLVD206 model appears to have the right definitions. Perhaps this could be used as reference.

I'll check in with my team to see if we have the numerical data for the DS25CP102 EQ. I'll get back to you next week with an update on this.

Hi Diego,

Unfortunately I could not locate numerical data for DS25CP102 EQ. If you are unable to get the correct pin definitions for DS25CP102, you could try DS25CP104A IBIS-AMI model. I would expect similar behavior between this and DS25CP102.

Please accept my E2E friend request and I will privately send the DS25CP104A IBIS-AMI model to you.

Hi Drew,

Thank you for providing the IBIS-AMI model.

However, I'm encountering an issue with loading this model in ADS. The following error message appears:

Error detected by hpeesofsim in Rx_AMI4 during netlist flattening.
Unable to load AMI library 'G:/....../Ds25cp104_RX_210113_x64.dll'.
Please check in your IBIS file whether AMI library (DLL)
for the 64-bit Windows platform is specified and whether it is stored in the same folder as the IBIS file.
Linker Error: '<UNKNOWN LOAD FAILURE 0x000000c1>'

I've seen a similar issue discussed on E2E:

It seems that the IBIS-AMI model might be corrupted.

Would it be possible for your team to review and, if necessary, correct the DS25CP104A IBIS-AMI model?

Hi Diego,

Apologies for the long delay on getting back to you. I tried out this model and observed the same behavior.

I was able to resolve this issue by using the 32 bit model, using the 32 bit wrapper linked below.
