TCAN1043A-Q1: INH not change to LOW

Part Number: TCAN1043A-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TCAN1043, TCAN1043-Q1,

Tool/software:

hi,

A question about the INH of TCAN1043:

I power on the TCAN1043, the INH is High Level , I still keep the EN=0  and nSTB=0 , when the Tinactive (the max value is 5 minutes) expires ,

the INH is still High .  Why the TCAN1043 not transition to Sleep Mode when the Tinactive expires ?

thanks !

  • I power on the TCAN1043 , the INH enables the VCC and VIO , and VCC and VIO is normally Powered . I just Keep the EN=0 and nSTB=0, the INH is always High Level .

  • At power-up,  VIO and VCC are supplied, both EN and nSTB are Pulled Down with 47K resistor,  no MCU Pin controls the EN and nSTB .

So , what the mode is now ? Is there any method to make the TCAN1043 to enter to Sleep mode ?

  • Bin,

Please follow the state diagram in the datasheet to correctly transition between modes of the device. Are you using a TCAN1043A-Q1, or TCAN1043-Q1? Either way, to go to sleep mode, EN must be high and nSTB must be low. Please try this and let us know if the device goes into Sleep mode.

    Regards,
