TUSB2136 EVM EEPROM Programming

Hi,

I am facing the problem in installing the TI USB EEPROM Burner utility software from the TI site (http://www.ti.com/product/tusb2136).

This installs the firmware loader properly, but while installing EEPROM programmer an error occured and it shows USB Hub Power Exceeded (Hub does not have enough power available to operate the TUSB2136EVM)

I installed the software as per the document SLLA179A.pdf in the package.

Can you please help me to correct this issue.

Can you send a screen shot of the error message.

Are you configuring the TUSB2136 as self-power or bus-power?

Hi VILLEGAS,

Please find the screen shot of the error. We tried to connect the PC to a externally powered hub, but still the same error exists.

TUSB2136 is configured in bus powered mode.

Sorry, We tried to connect TUSB2136EVM to PC through a powered HUB which can support 500mA, but still the same error exist.

Can you please address this issue

Hello,

Can you try the following:

Use another PC where you had never installed the TI Apploader Driver, then install only the EEPROM Burner and connect the TUSB2136.

Hi,

I tried to install EEPROM Burner in a new PC which does not have Apploader installed but still the same problem exist.

Just bought the TUSB2136 keyboard kit, encountered the same problem when installing the EEPROM writer utility. Is this still an issue? Nobody from TI is aware of this?
