SN65LVCP418 3-State Output Control

The outputs of the SN65LVCP418 can be put into a 3-state mode. It appears that a register must be set through I2C. In Table 4 of the datasheet, bit 2 of the output port control registers whose function is to 3-state the port shows up as a read only bit. I feel like it should be R/W. Is this an error in the documentation or is there something I'm misunderstanding?

Mike,

I believe the 3-state register bit should be listed as R/W. This is a documentation error. The line separating the R/W from the R section is drawn in the incorrect row. You can look at the SN65LVCP408 data sheet as an example. We will look into correcting the data sheet.
