SN65DSI83: How can I connect REFCLK

in the datasheet,
I think, I can connect the REFCLK pin to GND or Optical external clock.



Which one do you recommend?
Please tell me each advantage and disadvantage.

    I recommend using a REF clock for your design as this will result in a cleaner clock. Using the DSI clock instead of the REF clock will mean the data nd the clock are 100% synchronous and in phase. When using a REF clock there may be some phase mismatch, but this is addresses by the internal buffer on the DSI83.
