Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB8042A
Tool/software:
We have a 'simple' TUSB8020B design that consistently establishes an upstream USB2.0 High-speed connection but doesn't seem to want to establish a USB3.0 Super-speed upstream connection.
The upstream port uses an Amphenol USB-B GSB3211311WEU connector that we used in a different TUSB8042A design that works beautifully at USB3.0 Super-speed connections. The wiring for the new TUSB8020B design was lifted directly from the working TUSB8042A design. TTBOMK all appropriate trace length and impedance rules were followed.
We have tried both a 1uF and a 10uF cap on GRSTz. In either case, the VDD and VDD33 come up almost simultaneously but the GRSTz doesn't reach .8V until at least 4ms later so that shouldn't be an issue.
The load capacitors on the 24Mhz crystal were 10pF, but the frequency was slightly low. They have been changed to 22pF and the frequency is well within tolerance but this didn't help.
Any suggestions?
