Hi,

We use the DS280DF810 in the QSFP retimer design, and we consider the 4 ports SFP28, and please advise if this schematic design is right or wrong?

And I read in the datasheet that signals with the same insertion loss should be placed on the same channel. Should these 8 channels be adjusted together or separately? thanks.

Hi Zhang,

Can you highlight which part of the data sheet you're referencing?

Each channel adapts its equalization independently, so I would not expect any issues with this layout.

Hi Zhang,

Grouping channels together can help with simplifying device configuration, but it's not a strict requirement.

I would also recommend considering high speed layout when selecting which signals connect to which channels. If you're able to simplify your routing or take steps to help maintain good high speed routing, this is valuable.
