TSER9615: 1 channel CSI+1 channel DSI input, resolution 2560x1920@30, is there a recommended Serdes solution for this

Part Number: TSER9615
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TDES9640, DS90UB941AS-Q1

Tool/software:

1 channel CSI+1 channel DSI input, resolution 2560x1920@30, is there a recommended Serdes solution for this

Is TESER9615 and TDES9640 suitable? Does this need 2 sets of serial and unstring chips? Is there a more integrated, simpler and cheaper solution

  • Hello Tonyx,

    I am not sure I understood your question. Do you mean that you have a SoC with two output interfaces, one is DSI and the other is DSI? And you are looking for one SER which can accept both signals at its input and send the data to the DES which output the signals on two separate interfaces again, 1 CSI and 1 DSI?

    Is my understanding correct? If yes, then we do not have a single SER or DES which can support two different signal interfaces. You may need to use 2x single SER and 2x single DES.

  • Then please help to recommend the solution of 2x single SER and 2x single DES that can meet my application requirements, thank you!

  • Hello Tonyx,

    for the DSI input you may use the DS90UB941AS-Q1 Serializer. And for the CSI input you may use the DS90UB953 Serializer.

    For the DES suggestion, I need to know the type of interface you have. If you are not limited to a specific interface, then I recommend you use the following pairs:

    DS90UB941AS-Q1 Serializer -->> DS90UB928/48-Q1 -- Input DSI --> output oLDI

    DS90UB935/53-Q1 Serializer -->> DS90UB936/54-Q1 -- Input CSI --> output CSI
