DS26C31T: Why is "Lead Temperature (TL)" specified at 4 seconds in datasheets?

Part Number: DS26C31T

Tool/software:

Dear Team,

I have a question about soldering duration.

For the DS26C31TM/NOPB, the data sheet states "Absolute maximum rating" for Lead Temperature Soldering, 4s and 260degC.
On the other hand, there is also a description that "MSL Peak Temp" follows the JEDEC industry standard in datasheet.
I think that JEDEC J-STD-020 allows the duration of peak temperature in the reflow profile to be up to 30 seconds, so how should we interpret this difference?

Does the "4s" on the datasheet refer to the time when soldering with a soldering iron?
