TCAN1043A-Q1: Used in 24V system

Hello team,

TCAN1043A can be used in 24V system, but the Vsup pin cannot connected to KL30, because the input range is only up to 40V.

So generally, a primary voltage converter is needed, which causes another problem: system cannot meet low quiescent current requirement, usually no more than 100uA.

My idea is adding a dedicated WV Buck powered for Vsup only, and set 1043A in standby mode, the buck will be enabled by INH signal.

However, there are two drawbacks: 1. buck will bring more cost, 2. the buck causes more quiescent power loss.

So, do you have any better solutions? Thanks!
