I am considering using a TVS for a USB data line (USB2.0).
In that case, which is best, uni-directional or bidirectional?
Also, please tell me why which is best.

Hi Ishiwata,

Unidirectional is preferred since USB data lines don't swing below ground.

This will also give better clamping performance for negative ESD strikes due to the lower negative breakdown voltage of ~0.5V.
