I have 2 questions which is not clear to me from the datasheet.

1) Can I configure the Phy only using the registers? If I make changes in the registers, when are those changes valid. Do I need to reset the chip?

Can I dynamically change between using Fiber or Copper?

2) If I supply 3.3V and the 2.5V DC,Do I also need to supply the 1.0 and 1.8V.

    Hi Sean,

    1. Yes, you can configure the PHY through register. There is an PHY register that could software reset the PHY. After you finish configure the PHY, you can soft reset the PHY.
    2. You only need to supply 1.1V on the power supply for DP83869.
