TUSB4041I: Unused USB Pins

Part Number: TUSB4041I

Tool/software:

Good day,

I am unsure what to do with some of the unused pins on the device. I will be using the device as a hub for USB signals without any VBUS requirements or power management. Is it okay to leave the unused power management pins unconnected?

Should I leave the USB_VBUS pin unconnected?

Should the TEST pin be left unconnected or tied to ground via a 4.7kΩ resistor?

What is the correct option for unused OVERCUR pins? The datasheet suggests leaving it unconnected, but the checklist suggests pulling it high via a 4.7kΩ resistor.

Kind regards,

Nicole

  • HI Nicole:

If you don't support power management , then FULLPOWERMENT should be high.

         OVERCURR pull high as well.

TEST pin should be grounded .

USB_VBUS should be connected to 5V with 90k/1k, divider.

    Best

    Brian
