TCAN1145-Q1: SPI operation, maximum data Byte length to WR/RD(SDI/SDO)

Hi CAN Team,

Customer has failed to read more than 4 Byte data length from SPI interface of TCAN1145-Q1 as customer said.

They said it seems 22Byte data WR via SDI is working well but seems it's not valid one from 5'th Byte(1 to 4th Byte would be ok), just can read "00" only.

Can you please let me know how many byte can WR/RD via SDI/SDO?

Hi Lenny,

The SPI burst read/write supports 32 bits maximum so the 5th byte will not be valid.

Thanks for your feedback.

I can say that both WR and RD are valid for 32Bit only. Even if WR(SDI) is working good with 22Byte, we don't recommend to WR more than 5byte.

Hi Lenny,

Each SPI transaction is a 16, 24 or 32 bits containing an address and read/write command bit followed by one to three data bytes, so it can't be 22 bits or more than 32 bits.
