I have a customer with the below inquiry, let me know your thoughts and thanks in advance!

"Quick question for you, is there a direct push-pull option for the PCA9557RGVR I2C Port Expander? The PCA9557RGVR has been working great for us but the P0 open-drain port is giving us a few headaches. We're looking for something in the exact same package and pinout but with ALL push-pull ports."

The PCA9557 has an unusual pinout that is different from that of all the other 8-I/O expanders.

Hi Marco,

Like Clemens has answered already, PCA9557 does not have a p2p part with P0 as push-pull.

The only other alternative is to switch to another 8-bit IO expander such as TCA9538 or TCA6408A that has all 8 IO's as push pull.
