My customer wants to  interconnect the two PHYs back-to-back via RGMII:

DP83869HM
DP83TG720R-Q1

1000Base-T RGMII ---- RGMII 1000Base-T1

1. They would like to avoid an additional external system controller for the configuration of the PHYs (via MDIO/SPI).
And would prefer configuration via PIN straps. Can the PHYs be configured appropriately via the pin straps, or is the configuration via MDIO necessary?
Are there erratas that may require regular communication via MDIO?

2. Do you have any additional or data on how the PHYs behave at -45°C?
