Hi We use DS320PR810 and DS160PR810 on our Gen5 and Gen4 platform design individually. We didn't find programming guide on website, could you please provide that? BTW, do these two redrivers support bypass mode? Which means no CTLE gain is applied so that the signal just go though the redriver without any enhancement. If so, what's the insertion loss of the redriver when in this mode?

The DS320PR810's programming guide is available by request using the link under the "Request more information" section on the product's page. I've put it here for reference: https://www.ti.com/drr/opn/PCIE5-REDRIVERS-DESIGN

These redrivers do not have a full CTLE bypass. The minimum CTLE gain would be applied at each Nyquist frequency when using EQ Index 0 for each device. Please find this E2E FAQ here for further reference.

What does "Default" stand for? Is it the same as CTLE index 0 setting?

Hello Qianwen,

The "Default" EQ Index setting for the DS320PR810 is not the same as CTLE Index 0. The "Default" CTLE boost falls between EQ Index 2 and 5 and provides approximately 9-10 dB of gain at 16GHz, and approximately 6dB of gain at 8GHz.

Hi Far,

The default flat gain value in I2C mode is 0dB. In data sheet Table 7-12, flat_gain[2:0] shows a reset value of 0x5, which corresponds to 0dB in Table 7-2.
