DS90UB935-Q1: Please kindly help confirm: 935 cannot pair with 954, using DVP mode

One of my customer is using 935+954, and wants to configure mode to DVP mode(raw 10).

But I consult that, in <DS90UB953-Q1 Backwards Compatibility Modes for Operation With Parallel Output Deserializers> it says in the 28-bit DVP mode configuration, the DS90UB953-Q1 device will operate with DVP parallel output type deserializers such as the DS90UB934-Q1 or the DS90UB914A-Q1.

So, I kindly want to confirm that, in DVP mode, 935 is compatible with 934 and 914. and 954 is compatible with 933 and 913?

Sorry for asking for help, could you please confirm this?

Hi Jerry,

Yes, this is correct.

When the UB953 is paired with the UB954, this will be in CSI-2 modes, either synchronous or non-synchronous. RAW10 data can be transmitted here however, the input would be following CSI-2 standards and transmitted at a higher forward channel rate.

When the UB953 is operating with the DVP deserializers 934 and 914, it will be in DVP mode.

954 DVP mode is used when operating with the 933/913 serializers.
