Hello, I'm designing a PCB with TUSB8020BIPHPRQ1 and I would like to indicate activity on both upstream and downstream ports, is it possible to connect an LED to SS_DN2 (pin 22) for example?

Hi Jakub:

yes, you can .

After reset, FULLPWRMGMTz/ SMBA1/SS_UP ,PWRCTL_POL/SS_DN1, SMBUSz/SS_DN2 are indication for SS speed.

Thanks for the replies, Last question which is not related to the LEDs, when I use only a 2.0 USB, should the SS pair be left unconnected?

yes, you can left SS signal unconnected if not used.
