  • Hi Wayne,

What is the length of the cable?

    What board are you using?

The cable requirements between HDMI 2.0 and HDMI2.1 are different. The HDMI2.1 cable must be CAT 3.

  • I am using an evaluation board of TMDS120 4, with one end connected to a 2-meter cable and the other end connected to a 0.5-meter cable. The HDMI 2.1 cable can recognize 8k 60HZ normally

  • Hi,

The evaluation board itself has two HDMI receptacles, and we will need to make sure to use a cable as short as possible to minimize the insertion and return loss from the two receptacles. The one we used is this at this link.

Are you using I2C or pin strap mode to configure TMDS1204? Can you please share your current TMDS1204 configuration either in I2C or pin strap mode?

    Thanks
