DSLVDS1047-1048EVM: The line driver keeps to burnt each time

Part Number: DSLVDS1047-1048EVM

Tool/software:

Hello, while working with DSLVDS1047-1048EVM, when it's connected to a STM32, one of the components is shortened (U2 - DSLVDS1047PWR) and is needed to be replaced,

it happened more then 3 times on different boards.

Is it related to current limit of the P.S? (I worked with 3.3V / 1A) and the SW seems to run correctly through the component (until it gets malfunctioned).

Thanks!!

  • Hi,

Are you seeing any voltage clamping with the external 3.3V/1A power supply? How much current draw on the 3.3V do you see when powering up the EVM?

The EVM user guide does recommend to connect a 3.3 V DC power supply (30 mA max) to the header J7 on EVM.

I am not familiar with STM32, is it a LVDS input? When connecting to the STM32, are you connecting to the STM32 first, and then power up the EVM, or power up the EVM and then connect to the STM32?

    Thanks

    David
