Tool/software:

The usage scenario of our product a DB9 will be connected to 485, 422 and 232, but it is uncertain when to connect which one, is there a method that CPU can automatically identify when connecting different interfaces

    Hello,

    This largely depends on whether the THVD4411 is receiving or transmitting on the RS-485//232 lines. 

    From the transmitting perspective, the MODE pins control whether the device is RS-232, RS-485 (half-duplex), or RS-485 (full-duplex). Table 7-8 in the datasheet describes this further.

    From a receiving perspective, a software level solution such as sending a data packet might be best for telling the MCU/CPU when to change modes. Otherwise, THVD4411 does not automatically detect and switch between the RS modes.
