    Hi Jay,

    I skimmed the datasheet but I don't specifically see anything called out on the device detecting a short to power and flagging it. It only spec's that the device may be able to handle it. Please wait for comments from one of our CAN experts for verification though.

    Hi Jay,

    Fault detection is not a feature on TCAN1048-Q1. You would need to use a 14-pin CAN transceiver like TCAN1043A-Q1, TCAN1145-Q1 for that feature.
