DS90UB934-Q1: Compatible serializer for DS90UB934-Q11914A-Q1 Deserializer

Part Number: DS90UB934-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi team,

My customer will use 934/914 deserializer for LVDS to DVP output. Need to confirm which serializer part number able to be the  correct selection in serializer side?

May I know if all of the below serializer PNs able to use in DVP output application as SNLA270 AN shows?

Also, which spec decide the serializer and deserializer able to be use in DVP output application?

Thank you!

Yunjing

  • Hi Yunjing,

The DS90UB934, and DS90UB914 are the compatible FPD-Link deserializers to be used in this case. The recommended serializers are the UB913 and the UB933. Specifics on the input requirements are provided in the Recommend Operating Conditions table of the datasheet.

    Best,

  • Hi Zoe,

    Thanks for your reply!

Is 934/914 + 933/913 are the only options support DVP mode? Other serializers & deserializers part number in above screen shot don't support DVP mode, correct?

    Thank you!

  • Hi Yunjing,

The serializer compatibility will depend on what deserializer you would like to use as well. If using the 934/914 is set, the deserializer is compatible with the 953/935/953A, 913 and 933 serializers. The UB935 also supports DVP mode in the backwards compatible mode. If using the 935/953/953A in these modes, please refer to the 6.4.1.4 DVP Backwards Compatibility Mode section of the datasheet.

In the screenshot provided some of these deserializers may be able to support the same input however, they are not compatible with the 914 and 934. For instance, the 633A supports DVP mode but would be suggested to use the 662 as the deserializer instead.

If you would like to provide a block diagram of the system, we can asses potential solutions more in depth.

    Best,

    Zoe
