Tool/software:

We have designed a product using TMDS181, and we follow the demo board and would like to check the eye pattern with "Eye Scan" software. However the PC (WIN10 system) can't recognize it correctly, as shown in the PC, the VID is 0451 and PID is 3410, how should I do with it, thanks

Hi Devyn,

The driver is here: SLLC428 Driver or library | TI.com

It is not digitally signed, so you will likely need to disable driver signing enforcement in Windows in order to install it.

Hi Nicholaus,

Thanks your support. I have installed the driver you recommend, the PC can recognize USB3410, but it seems become a COM device, and the EyeScan Tool staill can't recognize it. Is it necessary to burn a matching FW to the USB3410?

Hi Devyn,

Ah, I think I see the issue. The TUSB3410 in this case is used as an I2C device. The I2C firmware is not available on ti.com and officially there is no support for this device. I have a copy of this firmware I can send to you through direct message, but it's provided as-is and without support.

I tried to burn the bin file you provided using "TUSB3x10 EEPROM Burner", however, there was always an error, do you know why? My PC OS is WIN10/64-bit, is there a compatibility problem with this tool?

Hi Devyn,

If you select "Program Full Binary Image" as described in section 3.2 of TUSB3x10 EEPROM Burner does it work?

By the way, it looks like the I2C firmware is available here: TUSB3410 data sheet, product information and support | TI.com

It looks like the firmware provided is correct based on the schematic. P3.3 is SCL and P3.4 is SDA.

Hi Devyn,

I don't. This firmware is offered as-is without support. The TUSB3410 is no longer available on ti.com, and I haven't used the I2C software myself.

I will go into the lab, reproduce the issue, and debug. Unfortunately, there is a winter storm here in Texas and I can't make it to the lab this week. I will follow up as soon as I have results.
