Building on prior discussions on this topic, several attempts have been made to utilize the DP83869 to convert 1GBase-KX to 1GBase-T. Could you confirm if these attempts were successful? If so, please provide details on the implementation, preferably in the form of an application note.

    Please allow me time to confirm any reports of systems achieving 1000Base-KX to 1000Base-T conversion with DP83869.

    Although this has not been validated internally, I will share any details I can find on this.

    Hi Geethanga,

    There are cases of DP83869 being used in systems requiring 1GBase-KX to 1000Base-T conversion, but implementation details are not available.

    The standards for 1000Base-KX and SGMII are similar, so I expect this conversion is possible when disabling SGMII auto-negotiation on DP83869.

    Do you have an evaluation platform that is providing 1GBase-KX signals over breakout connector? If so, I recommend using DP83869EVM and connecting this to the SGMII breakouts to validate this conversion.
