TCAN1145-Q1: Is the startup time and response time of tcan adjustable?

Part Number: TCAN1145-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi team,

The customer is now using tcan1145 for bus testing and found that after power-on, the first frame transmission time is about 310ms, which is too slow and does not meet the requirements. The TJA1145 used in other projects in the past is about 70ms. I want to know how long the startup time and response time of tcan should be tested? Is it adjustable?

  • Hi Alan,

I'm not sure which time you are referring to, did they tested any timing parameter not meeting the datasheet specification? The transceiver does not have a parameter of "first frame transmission time after power on". After power on, the device is in standby mode, they need to write a SPI mode transition into normal to transmit frame. Thus this process highly depends on when their controller send the SPI command.

Do they have any waveform to indicate what time they are measuring?

    Regard,

    Sean
