Hi Gowtham,

For 6 devices, the typical power would be 6 * (658mW + 8 * 241mW) = 15.5W.

Thank you for providing the typical power consumption values for our design. Could you please confirm if the same value can be used for the Thermal Design Power (TDP)? If not, kindly share the TDP specific to our design.

Hi Gowtham,

Can you clarify what you're looking for in regards to TDP? My understanding is that TDP would refer to maximum sustained power under full load.

If this is the case, you could use maximum power values instead of typical values from the data sheet.

The maximum instantaneous power will occur during CDR lock process, but this process is very quick (<100 ms). For larger margin, you could use power values from while CDR is acquiring lock.
