Hello,

I have a RGB video output that I am serializing to FPD using the DS90C385A in order to show the data in a screen with a FPD receiver. Until this point everything is OK and working, but I need to offer a external video output over USB-C connector, so I need to use Display Port alternate mode to output the data. However I dont find any IC convert FPD to DP. Neither I find any RGB to DP transmitter. In contrast, I have found these kind of IC for HDMI.

So, the question is, Do you have any IC to get DP from FPD, RGB or HDMI? else, Does any solution exist to get DP output?

    Hello,

    The DS90C385A serializes LVCMOS (RGB) to LVDS output (4 data lanes and 1 clock lane). 

    For a DP output, you would need a DP deserializer, for which we would suggest the DS90UB984-Q1, which only uses FPD-Link IV or FPD-Link III over single or dual lanes.


    We would suggest to replace the DS90C385A with the DS90UB925-Q1 (RGB/LVCMOS input) and pair with the DS90UB984-Q1 (DP output) in FPD3 mode.
