SN65LVDM31: Issue using SN65LVDM31 IBIS Model

Part Number: SN65LVDM31
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN65LVDS31

Tool/software:

Hello,

We are having an issue using the SN65LVDM31 IBIS model while simulating a 100MHZ clock signal. We are seeing a runt pulse in the first pulse which seems to be due to the output driving both P and N legs of the diff pair high, than correcting itself. I substituted this SN65LVDM31 driver with a SN65LVDS31 IBIS and saw no such issue and the signal behaved as I would have expected.

Is there a known issue with the SN65LVDM31 IBIS? Is there any way to get an updated IBIS model if that is the case.

Thanks

  • Hi Patrick,

Unfortunately, we do not provide continuing support for our IBIS models, and we do not have an updated version to provide.

There have been known bugs in IBIS models before, so you may be correct on this.

    Thank you, Amy
