DS125DF111: Inquiry regarding data rate support

My customer used the DS125DF111 for an application that required support for 3.1875Gbps.

Is there any way to support 3.1875Gbps with DS125DF111 by changing internal settings or Ref. clock, etc.?

Hi JH,

Unfortunately DS125DF111 cannot support 3.1875Gbps. Retimers operate within a fixed VCO frequency range and only support data rates within this range + subrates. This retimer can only support data rates in the following ranges.

Divider	Data Rate Range (Gbps)
1	9.8 - 12.5
2	4.9 - 6.25
4	2.45 - 3.125
8	1.225 - 1.5625

Additionally, we do not have any other retimers which can support 3.1875Gbps. We do have many redrivers which support this data rate. Here is an FAQ which explains the difference between a retimer and a redriver.
