THVD9491-SEP: Power Dissipation at Vcc=3.3V

Part Number: THVD9491-SEP

Tool/software:

Hello,

The datasheet 5.6 specifies Power Dissipation at Vcc = 5.5V.

My customer would like to know that at Vcc=3.3V.
Could TI provide the requested data?

Best regards,

K.Hirano

  • Hirano-san,

I checked our internal database and we do not have power dissipation data for 3.3V as this is a new device. Note that the power dissipation testing is done in loopback mode, and the realistic power draw will be different in the customer's system. In this case, the best power estimation will be in the customer's particular system.

    Regards,

    Ethan

  • Ethan,

Thank you for your responses. My customer understood your responses.x
But, at least, they would still like to know if the power dissipation at 3.3V is lower than the one at 5V? What can TI respond on this?

    Best regards,

    K.Hirano

  • Hi Hirano,

Yes, 3.3V power dissipation should be lower than 5V. Another way to estimate power is if you look at the ICC supply current in Section 5.7 of the datasheet. There is no load on the bus, but it compares 3.3V to 5V VCC. At the 3.3V range, the current is lower by around 0.5mA for the typical conditions:

    Best,

    Ethan
