My customer has some querstions for DP83825I.


Q1.
On P8 of the datasheet, "R Pull Down" and "R Pull UP" values are defined as 8K(MIN), 10K(TYP) and 13K.
Can these PD and PU value be applied for all internal PD/PU pins?

The datasheet also says that strap pins have internal 9Kohm+-25% on P21. It conflict to the above difinition.
It also says that INTR/PWRDN pin have 9.5Kohm internal pull-up. It also conflict to the above ones.

Q2.
An external 2.49Kohm is recommended for strap configuration.
Can 2.2Kohm be used instead of 2.49Kohm?

    Hi Oba-san,

    I would understand the above parameters to explain that all internal PU/PD values would be 8-13k unless otherwise stated such as strapping and PWDN. Instances include TX MAC pins, Reset, MDC, etc.

    For external strap configuration, we have verified the part with only 2.49kohms. However, 2.2k may be okay as it wouldn't affect strapping functionality, but I would advise customer to simulate/validate with this resistor on the line to ensure the driver can operate appropriately.
