LMH0397: About the "LMH1297.7zads" circuit available from HP

Part Number: LMH0397

Tool/software:

To the person in charge Thank you for your continued support. My name is Suzuki from Olympus.

I am using a Sim to evaluate the return loss of the SDI_IO+ pin 1 of the LMH0397.

- When I open the archive file for this topic,, there are three circuits, "cable", "FR4", and "redriver". Is it okay to refer to the "cable" circuit?

- Also, am I correct in understanding that "IO.s4p" is the parasitic component of the package and "rx_io3.s4p" is the S-parameter of the termination?

- By the way, what are "tx_da.s4p" and "Out_da.s4p" S-parameters? Since they are after the retimer, do I understand that they are not necessary for the return loss evaluation of SDI_IO+ that I want to perform this time?

Thank you in advance.

  • Hi Suzuki,

Greetings to Olympus. My name is Nick and I am supporting the SDI portfolio on behalf of TI.

    1) The cable circuit is the best for this application.

    2) I believe your understanding is correct.

    3) Yes, you are correct.

    Best Regards,
