TLIN2029-Q1: IBUS_LIM MIN Value

Part Number: TLIN2029-Q1

Tool/software:

I would like to know why a MIN value is specified in the IBUS_LIM specifications for the target part, TLIN2029.

I understand that the MAX value is a regulation of how much current can be flowed into the open collector output,

but I don't know intuitively how to think about the MIN value, so I would like an explanation. Please teach it.

  • Hi Daisuke,

This parameter defines current limitation for driver dominant state driver on VBUS = VBAT_max into ECU bus line. From ISO 17987-4, a transceiver shall be capable to sink at least 40 mA. The maximum current flowing into the node shall not exceed 200 mA under DC conditions to avoid possible damage.

    Regards,
