Hi Team,

Could you please clarify if the SDI sampling is rising edge or falling edge? It is conflicted in datasheet.

Hi Frank,

It's a typo, SDI is sampled on rising edge of clock.

Thanks for your reply.

We captured a SDI(blue) and SCK(green) waveform on TCAN1167.

The SDI waveform changes following the SCK is high. So the sampling looks like at falling edge.

The SPI communication mode cannot support high voltage level data change then do the data sampling. So, I'm kind of confusing the measurements seems shows it is falling edge sampling.

Hi Frank,

SDI is serial data in, it's an input from MCU, so it's a MCU configuration issue. You need to set SPI mode to CPOL = 0 and CPHA = 0.
