SN75DP159: Inter-pair skew issue

Hi,

Can you please send the top marking of the DP159 units?

Any chance they can switch to DP159 I2C mode and read the DP159 registers? For the inter-pair skew test at 6Gbps, DP159 should be in the re-timer mode and I want to verify this is to be the case.

Any chance they can send a system to me so I can look at it in the lab?

Hi David,

Above test report we are using SN75DP159 EVM to test as below HW pinstrap setting. Not owner transfer board but still fail.

Any other setting we can try?

Please set HDMI_SEL = L and EQ_SEL = NC on the EVM. 

Are they seeing the failure if they select a different video timing?

Can you please share the DP159 top marking of the EVM they are using?

Hi David,

We tested the newly received EVM, but it still failed as shown in the attachment.

Additionally, the markings on the IC of the new EVM are the same as the previous one. Thanks!

I tested this EVM before I sent it out and verify it is able to pass the inter-pair skew test. 

Is it possible to connect an I2C controller to the EVM and reading out DP159 registers during the test? And do they have another set of HDMI test fixture they can try?
