DS100DF410: Can this part be user as a 10/100/1000 Ethernet redriver?

Part Number: DS100DF410

Tool/software:

I have a design requirement to recondition ethernet signal before passing it over to another board through a potentially noisy environment.

Basically, the idea is this: connector -> magnetics -> (something here) -> ........... -> (same thing here) -> another board

Have been looking at this IC as a possible candidate to perform the task, but I am not sure if it is suitable.

Thanks

  • Hi,

DS100DF410 is a retimer which is only capable of locking to and supporting 10.3125Gbps (10GbE) and 1.25Gbps (1GbE) data rates with NRZ signaling.

Please refer to the following E2E FAQ which covers the difference between retimers and redrivers.

Are you looking for a redriver which supports 10/100/1000 BASE-T Ethernet, with MLT-3 signaling? Unfortunately our retimer/redriver portfolio only supports BASE-R and BASE-X Ethernet with NRZ signaling. (With the exception of 50GbE retimer/redriver, which support PAM-4 signaling.)

    Best,

    Lucas
