DS15EA101: What does the VIN range on the datasheet mean?

Tool/software:

Hi,

I want to check the electrical specifications in the DS15EA101 datasheet. Is the 950mVp-p VIN listed in the data sheet the differential amplitude? Or is it the single-ended amplitude?

Does it refer to the AC component when considering IN+ and IN- as DC component (= VCM) + AC component (= square wave)?

Could you please tell me the effects*1 and problems*2 if this amplitude is exceeded?

*1: Not recommended because the output waveform will be distorted, etc.
*2: Not recommended because it will destroy the device, for example.

Thanks,

Conor

The DS15EA101 inputs are internally biased and AC coupling is required. The 950mVp-p is the differential amplitude.

If you exceed the max 950mVp-p, the device will not get damaged (question #2) since the Input Voltage Absolute Maximum Rating on all inputs is -0.3V to Vcc + 0.3V. But the device functionality is not guaranteed (question #1) since the DC Electrical Characteristic condition has been violated.

    Thanks
