TMUXHS4612: No CEC pin to select the different HDMI ports

Hi team,

We are using the part in one of our design where we are using a single HDMI Source and two HDMI slaves.

We are unable to find the CEC pin in this part to mux with the source and 2x sinks. Do we need to use additional external mux to connect the CECs?

Hi,

The CEC signal is one-line, party-line, so you can just connect CEC from all connectors together.

Thanks for the response.

As CEC is used to control thigs like Display OFF, Sleep etc...

If we short the CEC from both Sinks and give it to source, then I cannot control individual Sink through CEC, right?

Hi,

All CEC devices have both a physical and logical address, but non-CEC devices only have a physical address. So each CEC device appearing on the control signal line has a Logical Address that is allocated to only one device in the system.
