Part Number: TCA9548A

Tool/software:

Hi Team,

may we know is there any I2C switch ic with the following function?

1. is htere an I2C switch that include stuck bus recovery ? ( can it be use with TCA9548A - TSSOP P2P)

2. If there no similar TCA9548A, is there any recommend IC that can support I2C stuck bus recovery and be connected in series before TCA9548A?

thanks for your help and learn from you.

  • Hello Tommy,

The TCA9548A can support bus stuck recovery, but it doesn't do it itself. The system controller can reset the TCA9548A in the event of a time-out, or other improper operation by asserting a low in the RESET input. Asserting RESET causes the same reset and initialization to occur without powering down the part. This allows recovery if one of the downstream I2C buses get stuck in a low state.

If you are looking for a switch to do the actual bus stuck recovery, I can loop in the TXP team to support.

    Thanks,

    Nir
