Hi team,

My customer will use 3Mp camera for next project and seeking FPD-link.

Based on their calculation, data rate is Total 3.322Gbps, 830Mbps/lane.

In my understanding, 953 can support 832Mbps/lane, it means there is only 2Mbps margin.

How to think data rate margin? This 2Mbps is enough margin for operation, or do they need to think more higher data rate FPD.

Hello Youhei-san,

have you considered the CSI blanking into your calculations? If yes, then the UB953 would be the right device for this datarate.

HI Youhei,

the calculations look good to me; however I think 10% CSI blanking is not always realistic. I have seen most of the image sensors require 20 - 30% blanking.
Please double check with the customer.
