Hi team,

My customer is using TCAN4550-Q1 in their projects. We provided them MCAL before. When they use EB to configure TCAN4550-Q1 and generate codes, it prompts that the following license is required. Our MCAL is free, right? Where can customer get the license? Thanks!

Hi Grey,

Yes, our AUTSAR TCAN4x5x MCAL drivers are free and don't have any special licenses. This issue may be associated with the EB Tresos installation and configuration and not with the TCAN4x5x driver files themselves.

Thanks for reply. Which MCU is the MCAL code based on? Does it have corresponding EB software? Is the MCAL code bound to a specific MCU?

Hi Grey,

The MCAL code is not bound to a specific MCU. The following figure in the TCAN45xx Software User's Guide (Link) gives a visual representation of where the MCAL code sits in the firmware stack. We don't have any additional information to share beyond what is provided in the TCAN4x5x AutoSAR installer.
