TS3USB30E: Clarification on S pin truth table

Hello support team,

I'm looking at using the TS3USB30EDGSR to disable a UART connection to host while the host is being programmed, or if the UART device is powered off to save power.

I only have one IO pin left on the MCU and I wanted to check I can pull both S and H high with pull-up to disable bus by default? The truth table does not show if S can be high with OE and still disconnect.

Or I could pull S to ground permanently and just pull OE low to enable the bus as required?

You can do this.

But are the signals USB or UART? To disconnect UART signals, you can simply use the SN74LVC2G66.

Yes it's UART and only running at 38k baud. I had a look in to the SN74LVC2G66 but it doesn't work that well from a layout erspective on my board so I'll stick with the TS3USB30EDGSR if that will do the job, all be it at higher cost.
