Our design has a  DS90UB953 (serializer) connected to DS90UB638(deserializer),

Can this combination work?

    Hi Jimmy,

    The DS90UB638 is not compatible with the UB953. 

    The 6xx devices are part of the cost-optimized portfolio, so the biggest difference is compatibility. In general, the specs between the 6xx and 9xx series are similar, but 6xx specs are narrower. To look at what specific features/specs are different, you can refer to the individual datasheets.
