TLK1501: Video chip

Part Number: TLK1501

Tool/software:

Hi ti team,

The customer is looking for a video chip to convert the digital video signal output by the FPGA into an HDTV video signal (the signal format can be adjusted according to the requirements of the video chip). The customer has currently selected the TLK1501 device. Could you please help confirm if there is a more suitable recommendation? Thank you!

  • Hi,

Today (Feb 17) is a holiday in the US. The support team will get back to you tomorrow regarding your question.

    Best,

  • Hi,

I'm not especially familiar with video applications, so I have a few questions to better understand if TLK1501 can support the customer's use case.

    • Is the HDTV video signal CML 8b/10b encoded NRZ signaling?
    • Can the HDTV video signal data rate be in the range 0.6 to 1.5 Gbps?
    • What is the data rate of the FPGA digital signals? Are they TTL signals?
    • How many FPGA signals need to be serialized into a single HDTV signal?
    • What is the frequency of the reference clock? Note that it needs to be synchronous with FPGA output signals.

    Best,

    Lucas
