Our soc can output 24 bpp RGB RGB888 and 32 bpp RGB ARGB8888 16 bpp RGB RGB565,

Can we use soc output 24 bpp RGB RGB888 to DS90UR241-Q1 ?

we check DS90UR241-Q1 datasheet , it only support 18-bit color depth: RGB666

Hi,

The DS90UR241-Q1 can only support up to 18-bit color depth. As an alternative, you could consider using the DS90UB925-Q1. You can also find other Ser-Des in this page below, and filter by color depth, and input compatibility, such as LVCMOS.

If our SOC use RGB888 data lane R7~R2 G7~G2 B7~B2 connect DS90UR241-Q1 RGB666 data lane can reslove the problem ?

Is there any guidelines from the SoC about the LVCMOS/RGB output on how to use this with 18-bit vs 24-bit? Could you please check whether the SoC datasheet has recommendations for this?
