about 8.2.2.1.2 For a Device Side Application:

Q1: Connect a USB host, the USB-IF device-side test fixture, and USB device to the TUSB216-Q1. Ensure that the USB-IF device test fixture is configured to the ‘INIT’ position

What is mean INIT position?

How to Allow the host to enumerate the device?

  • Hi Lawrence,

Q1: Connect a USB host, the USB-IF device-side test fixture, and USB device to the TUSB216-Q1. Ensure that the USB-IF device test fixture is configured to the ‘INIT’ position

    What is mean INIT position?

This applies to certain test fixtures, which have a TEST and INIT switch. Not all test fixtures have this switch, this is more so meant just for the ones that do. An example is the fixture below:

Q2: Allow the host to enumerate the device

How to Allow the host to enumerate the device?

This should automatically happen, this step just indicates to give it time to enumerate at the host before beginning to send packets.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks.
