Other Parts Discussed in Thread: , CCSTUDIO
Tool/software:
Hi,
We have been using the TUSB9261 in an existing design for years with great success; the availability of the source code has meant we are thinking of also using it in other products too - to support CompactFlash.
This issue is easily demonstrable if you have the right (typically old) CF cards...
Hardware: We are using the TUSB9261DEMO board with a Delock 91660/91635/91687 SATA-to-CF adapter (chipset: Marvell 88SA8052). Other adapters - all that we have tried, in fact - also exhibit the problem.
Firmware: We are using TI's v1.06 firmware.
Problem Cards: 8MB (yes, 8MB) SST CompactFlash, Canon CF-16M 16MB, Microtech Digital FlashFilm 64MB
OK Cards: Delkin Devices 64MB
Test tools: Dazzle USBHS CF Reader (VID_07D0/PID_1102), commercial (unbranded) adapter using JMicron JMS539 USB3-to-SATA bridge (VID_152D/PID_0539).
Issue: If we plug the cards into the TUSB9261 (via the SATA-to-CF adapter) the TUSB9261 does not recognise them. Using the JMicron JMS539 option works (as does the commercial Dazzle), so the adapter is not regarded as a problem.
Can you provide any guidance on whether this is a known problem, or any suggestions on where to start to fix this? I have CCSTUDIO (6.1), can rebuild the TSUB9261 firmware (and run it) OK, and have only had to tweak it (slightly) in the past for our purposes - so I'm familiar with USB, your dev tools, and the TUSB9261. Just to emphasize - we are using standard TI firmware here.
Thanks for any guidance...
Jason.
